BC HIGHLIGHTS
• Sophomore Kelly Hughes filled the stat sheet - 16 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and four steals. This is the New Jersey's native first career double-double.
• BC had 20 team assists, six from Hughes, three from Kat Cooper and three from Ashley Kelsick.
• Junior Karima Gabriel was active inside all night. The Eagles forward had 11 points, five rebounds, two steals and four blocks.
WHAT HAPPENED
The Eagles led from start to finish. BC opened the game on a 20-6 run behind five points from Hughes and four from Kelsick. When BU cut the lead to nine points in the second half, sophomore Emilee Daley hit one of her three long range shots to push the lead to 12 points with just under six minutes to play. A layup by Gabriel gave BC a 14 points lead and Nicole Boudreau's three-pointer with under five minutes to play stopped any chance of a BU comeback.

• Sophomore Emilee Daley played 18 minutes and hit 3-for-5 from long range. She is developing into another three-point threat off the bench. Daley is shooting 44 percent from the arc in three games.
• Karima Gabriel had four blocks in the first half. The last player to have more than two blocks in a game for the Eagles was her teammate Alexa Coulombe last year vs. UNH. The Eagles junior has recorded three blocks in twice in her career.
• In three games, Coach Johnson has started three different combinations. Hughes and Boudreau are the only two to start all three games. Freshman Ashley Kelsick and Cooper have started two. Tonight, Alexa Coulombe started at center for the Eagles for her first start of the season.
