Men's Golf Finishes 12th at Wolfpack Invitational

Raleigh, N.C. - With Nicholas Pandelena's 3-under par final round of 68 at the Wolfpack Invitational hosted by NC State in Raleigh, N.C., finishing tied for 27th overall with a 7-over par 220 (80-72-68). Pat Albanesi also finished the tournament tied for 27th at 7-over par 220 (78-69-73). Boston College finished 12th after posting 894 (313-294-287).
The Eagles started round one slow, with Max Christiana recording the lowest score of the round at 77, 6-over par. Albanesi and John Jackopsic were close behind, both shooting 78, while Pandelena tallied an 80 and Brian Butler shot 84. BC totalled 313 in their lead-off round.
In round two of the Wolfpack Invitational, Albanesi lead the Eagles with an impressive 2-under par, finsihing at 69. The rest of the Eagles shot in the 70s as they clawed their way back from a rough start in day one. BC finished round two with a team total of 294.
For the final round of the tournament, Boston College carded a 2-over par 73 from Albanesi, a 71 by Christiana, a 75 by Butler, and Jackopsic shot a 77. Pandelena shot a team round low of 68. The Eagles finished strong as they moved up four spots on day two. Christiana finished tied for 46th, Jackopsic was tied for 61st and Butler finished tied for 81st.
The host team, North Carolina State finished the tournament in first with a team total of 846 (283-283-280), East Tennessee State had a team total of 855 (290-279-286), and East Carolina rounded out the top three, finishing with a three round total of 863 (287-288-288).
BC men's golf will be back in action next weekend at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational for their final outing of the Fall 2014 season.
