After the first month into the European Leage 2014-2015 season, our former BC Eagles are off to a strong start.
Aja Parham `06 is playing at Conquero in Heluva this season. The team has played 4 games thus far and their record is 3-1. At Mann Filter, Conquero lost 79-66, while Parham finished with six points and five rebounds. Against Gipuzkoa, Parahm finished with 15 points and three rebounds, contributing to Conquero's 71-57 victory. At Zamaora, Parham finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assist and Conquero won 61-79. In their most recent game against Rivas Ecopolis, Conquero won 85-55 with Parham finishing with six points and eight rebounds. The team's next game will be on October 29 against Gernika.
Kathrin Ress '07 is playing with Familia Schio in Italy this season. The team is undefeated after 5 games so far. In their first game against Vigarano the team finished 94-60 with Ress contributing 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists. At Lucca, Familia Schio won 35-65 and Ress finished with five points and five rebounds. Against Trieste, Ress finished with two points, 12 rebounds and three assists in their overall 96-42 victory. At La Spezia, Familia Schio won 50-85 with nine points, nine rebounds and two assists from Ress, and against Venezia they had a close victory of 74-72 with 8 point and 9 rebounds from Ress. Familia Schio's next game will be away on November 2nd against Battipaglia.
Carolyn Swords '10 is competing with Umbertide this season. The team's record is 2-2 so far. In the first game at La Spezia, Umbertide won 56-78 with eight points and three rebounds from Swords. Against Venezia Umbertide was defeated 65-71 but Swords contributed an outstanding 18 points, and 13 rebounds. Umbertide was victorious at Napoli winning 58-72 with 13 points and four rebounds from Swords. Umbertide faced a close 66-71 loss against San Martino but Swords finished strong with 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Umbertide's next game will be on November 2nd against Cagliari CUS.
Stefanie Murphy '10 plays in Romania for Sf. Gheorghe this season and so far they have a 6-1 record. They defeated Timisoara 65-35 with 14 points and six rebounds from Murphy in the first game. At Targu Mures, Sf. Gheorghe won again 72-86 with a remarkable 24 points, nine rebounds and three assists from Murphy. ICIM Arad defeated Sf. Gheorghe 73-81 but Murphy still had a strong performance putting up 13 points and 12 rebounds. They dominated against Craiova 34-125 and Murphy finished with 10 points and six rebounds. Murphy put up 25 points, five rebounds and two assists in a strong victory over Alexandria. At Galati they won 52-77 and Murphy finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists, and most recently against Oradea Sf. Gheorghe won 95-35 with 16 points, 10 rebounds and an assist from Murphy. Sf. Gheorghe's next game will be November 1st against Brasov.
