Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Women’s hockey freshman goaltender Katie Burt has been named Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week for her performance last weekend against No. 5 Cornell. This is Burt’s first league accolade of her career as an Eagle.
The Lynn, Massachusetts native tallied 41 saves and held the Big Red offense to just two goals in each game. The freshman netminder recorded a career-high 22 saves in Saturday’s victory and holds a 1.48 goals against average and .926 save percentage, both tops in the conference.
Burt will be back in the net for the Eagles this Friday, Oct. 31 as Boston College hosts Hockey East opponent Providence at 7 p.m.
