Boston College finished the first round of the Hoosier Fall Invitational in sixth-place. Cristina McQuiston shot a team best first round 1-under par, 71, at the Purgatory Golf Club. Boston College is 17 shots behind the leader, Indiana.
McQuiston recorded three birdies and two bogeys in her initial time around the Purgatory Golf Club. She is currently the individual leader by one stroke. Her 1-under par 71 was better than her season average round of three-over par.
For the round, Boston College shot a 9-over par 81 from Chia, a 82 from Joo, a 82 from Barrand, and Wang shot a 83 for the round.
After the first round, Indiana (299) leads by one shot, with EMU (300) in second, and Illinois (302) rounding out the top three.
