WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest scored three goals in the first half en route to a 4-1 victory over the Boston College men's soccer team on Friday night at Spry Stadium.

Senior Cole DeNormandie scored for the Eagles with junior Phil Sandgren getting the assist. It was DeNormandie's second goal in as many games. It was Sandgren's second assist of the season.

Wake Forest got on the board in the sixth minute with the benefit of an own goal. Philip Parker sent a cross into the box that was deflected into BC's net by one of its own defenders.

DeNormandie equalized the match in the 32nd minute when he finished off a pass from Sandgren, but the Demon Deacons responded 1:54 later with what proved to be the game-winning goal. Jon Bakero found the back of the net with assists from Kris Reaves and Jared Odenbeck.

Wake Forest wasn't done in the first half as it scored again in the 42nd minute. Bakero scored his second goal with the help from Ricky Greensfelder and Jacori Hayes.

Freshman Mohammed Moro forced the Wake keeper to make a save in the 54th minute but the Demon Deacons put the match away for good five minutes later when Greensfelder scored a goal on a dish from Michael Gamble.

BC got six more shots off in the final 30 minutes but could not find the net. Alec Ferrell made two of his three saves in that span for the Demon Deacons (7-6-0, 3-3-0 ACC).

Junior Alex Kapp made four saves goal for the Eagles (4-5-3, 1-4-1).

BC is back in action on Tuesday night when it hosts Boston University at 7 p.m. in Newton.
