
Men's Golf Finished In Fourth Overall at Maryland Invitational

The Boston College men's golf team placed fourth overall in a field of 12 teams at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland. The Eagles were a plus 26 in three rounds on the par 72 7,250 yard course. The host Maryland won the event with a plus four, while Loyola of Maryland was second at plus nine and Elon just passed BC in third with a plus 25.
In the individual competition, Nicholas Pandelena was tied in fifth overall with a plus two as he shot a 72 on day one, a 73 on the second day of play and a 73 in the final round. Pandelena minus one on the par four's, had 35 pars and nine birdies in three rounds.
Pat Albanesi tied for 24th as he shot a 73, 73 and a 79 for a plus nine. Albanesi had eight birdies and was a minus three on the par three's in three rounds.
Andy Mai placed tied for 29th with a plus 10. Mai shot a 77, a round low of 72 Wednesday morning, followed by a 77 in the final round. John Jackopsic placed tied in 31st as he started the tournament off with a 73, and followed it up with two rounds of 77. Max Christina was tied for 36th with a plus 12.
The team was third after the first day of action as the Eagles shot a 293. On Wednesday morning, Boston College shot a 291 followed by a final round of 306 later in the day.
