Fifth Place Finish For Women's Golf

Senior Cristina McQuiston finished 12th at the LPGA International Hills Course to help Boston College place fifth overall at the LPGA Xavier Invitational in Daytona Beach, Florida this weekend.
BC's combined score was 924, while Morehead State won the event with 887 total. Boston College opened on the first day at 317 on the par 72, 5,711 yard course. Cristina McQuiston led the Eagles with a 77, while Katie Barrand and Katelyn Reynolds both posted a 79.
Saturday's action saw McQuiston shoot a 75, while Joo shot a 74 to lead BC to a low-round of 302. Katie Barrand shot her round low of a 77 in round two.
On Sunday, BC shot a combined 305 behind a 74 from McQuiston, a 75 from Katia Joo and a 78 from both Barrand and Jocelyn Chia.
McQuiston, a senior from Rome, finished the individual overall in 12th by shooting a +10. She had six birdies and 35 pars over the weekend.
Joo, the Eagles only other senior, placed 28th. She had 34 pars in two rounds and finished at a +17. Barrand tied for 28th at +18, while Chia was tied for 35th with a +20. Reynolds placed tied for 59th. The Eagles will be in Indiana next weekend for the Hoosier Fall Invitational.
