Katia Joo named to All-ACC Academic Team

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Sophomore Katia Joo was named to the 2013 All-ACC Academic Women's Golf Team, as announced today by Commissioner John Swofford.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
Joo, who is one of 13 golfers to repeat as an All-ACC Academic team honoree, was fifth at the Eagles victory at the C&F Intercollegiate tournament hosted by the College of William & Mary. The finance major shot a first round 72 at the Peg Barnard Invitational and finished +7. She also shot a 72 in the second round and finished at +13 at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational. Joo, a native of Rolling Hills, Calif., is a two-time recipient of the Athletics Director's Award for Academic Achievement Award.
