
Dahlberg Scores Win at the ECAC Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. – Bridget Dahlberg tallied the second fastest time in school history and set a personal best with her win in the 3000m steeplechase this weekend at the ECAC Championships in Princeton, N.J.
Dahlberg (Newton, Mass.) recorded the personal best time of 10:09.34, smashing her previous mark of 10:16.44. Morgan Mueller finished right behind Dahlberg in the event, scoring eight points with a career best time of 10:13.14. As a team, the Eagles finished 11th out of 54 schools at the event with a total of 27 points.
Liv Westphal (Limoges, France) tallied eight points for the team with her second place finish in the 5000m – a personal best mark of 16:22.69. Sophomore Madeleine Davidson scored a point in the event for BC with a personal record of 16:36.24 as she placed 8th out of 25 participants.
At the New England Track & Field Championships, the Eagles recorded 34 points en route to a ninth place finish out of 35 schools at Stonehill College.
Senior Allison Stasiuk boasted the top performance for the Eagles with her second place finish in the 5000m (17:09.44). The mark was a career best for Stasiuk, shattering her previous best by seven seconds. Alanna Poretta finished fourth in the 5000m, scoring five points with her mark of 17:18.78.
Placing third and scoring six points, junior Erin McKenna tallied a season best time of 2:11.69 in the 800m while Kristen (4,488 pts) and Kim McDonagh (4,417) placed second and fourth respectively in the heptathlon with personal records.
