Women's Track Competes at the ECAC Championships

BOSTON – The Boston College women’s track team scored a decisive victory in the 3000m from Bridget Dahlberg as it concluded the indoor slate at the ECAC Championships this weekend.
Dahlberg ran away from the pack in the 3000m – tallying a mark of 9:29.37 which was over four seconds faster than second place finisher Keely Maguire of New Hampshire.
Senior Erin McKenna placed third overall in the 800m with a season best mark of 2:10.94. McKenna, alongside Molly O’Dea, Carly Daniel, and Jillian King finished the 4 x 400 relay 23rd with a season best time of 3:51.24.
King took first overall in her heat during the 800m trials with her career best time of 2:06.64 – good for the fourth fastest 800m indoor mark in team history.
Moira Kenny was BC’s lone competitor in the 5000m as she finished 18th overall with a mark of 17:09.15.
Sophomore Kristen McDonagh finished 10th in overall in the pentathlon with a career best 3,257 points – the best performance in the event for the Eagles this season.
Boston College will open up the outdoor season at the Stanford Invitational on March 29 in Palo Alto Calif.
