Boyles Earns Defensive Player of the Week Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior goaltender Corinne Boyles earned Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week honors for the fifth time this season for her stellar performance against Minnesota in the Frozen Four on Friday.
Boyles stopped 36 of 39 shots – including several point blank chances from the undefeated Golden Gophers in Friday’s 3-2 overtime loss at Ridder Arena.
For the season, the native of Wheaton, Ill., totaled a personal best 22-5-1 record with a 1.83 GAA and .927 save percentage en route to winning the Hockey East Goaltender Champion award.
The Eagles completed their most successful campaign in program history – amassing 27 wins and scoring a team record 159 goals in 2012-13.
