Women's Golf Wins the C&F Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Boston College women’s golf team scored its first victory since 2011 as they finished first overall at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary University.
The Eagles’ last tournament victory came at the 2011 Rutgers Invitational when Katia Joo paced BC with a fourth place finish overall at the event.
Freshman Vinh-Hoa Ngo finished first on the leader board – tallying a total of 145, +3 over two rounds to edge out second place finisher Hannah Pierce of Longwood. The team finished with a cumulative score of 598, +30 which was good for a 11-stroke margin over runner-up Richmond.
Joo and Isabel Southard each finished in a fifth place tie overall with a score of 149, +7. Cristina McQuiston (155, +13) and Chance Forbes (168, +26) rounded out the Eagles’ top five.
BC will be back in action on April 19 as they will head down to Charlotte for the ACC Championships.
