• Boston College (9-14, 3-9 ACC) is coming off a loss at Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon, 61-59. Junior Katie Zenevitch led the Eagles with a career-high 24 points, while Kerri Shields added nine points, four assists and four steals. The Eagles will now host Virginia on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.
• BC has three wins in the ACC this season. Two victories came in mid-January, when BC defeated Virginia Tech and Clemson. It marked the first time the Eagles earned two straight ACC road wins since joining the conference.
• The Eagles are 28th in the nation and first in the ACC in free throw percentage (74.8%). The team is also ranked 34th in the nation and first in the ACC in 3-pointers made per game (6.9 per game). The team is 76th in the nation and fourth in the ACC 3-point field goal percentage (32.9 percent).
• Probable starters for BC are: Kerri Shields, Kristen Doherty, Tessah Holt, Katie Zenevitch and Nicole Boudreau.
• Four different players have led the Eagles in scoring in the last four games, while Katie Zenevitch and Kristen Doherty have led the team in rebounding two games apiece.
• Katie Zenevitch is 26th in the country in free throw percentage (86.1%). She also leads the ACC in the same category.
• Boston College has hit 40 more three-pointers than its opponents this season.
• Kerri Shields (55) and Nicole Boudreau (53) lead the ACC in 3-pointers made. The two are also third and fourth in the ACC in minutes played, while Kristen Doherty is fifth.
BC vs. VIRGINIA
• Boston College and Virginia have played 13 times with the Cavaliers leading the series, 11-2.
• The two teams played earlier in the season with Virginia defeating BC, 69-57, on Jan. 24.
• BC and UVA played for the first time on December 29, 1983 at the Nike Christmas Classic hosted by BC. The Eagles lost to UVA, 58-46, despite 13 points and eight rebounds from Sally Madeira.
• The last time BC hosted UVA was on Jan. 21, 2010 and the Eagles fell, 70-68. The last time BC defeated the Cavaliers was on Feb. 20, 2011. The Eagles were led by then-sophomore Kerri Shields with 17 points while Carolyn Swords had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
