Hanlan Named ACC Co-Player of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore Olivier Hanlan has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week, announced Monday by the conference office.
Hanlan shares the honor with Duke's Jabari Parker, who was also named Rookie of the Week.
Hanlan averaged 28.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists as Boston College went 1-1 last week. He was 15-for-26 from the field (.577), 6-for-14 from 3-point land (.429) and 20-for-23 from the foul line (.870). He scored 18 points and dished out a career-high six assists against Toledo. He then scored a regular season career-high 38 points (27 after halftime) to lead BC to its first win of the year over Florida Atlantic. He was 11-for-19 from the field and 12-for-14 from the foul line. It was the most points scored in the ACC this season.
The Aylmer, Quebec product leads the ACC in points per game (24.5) and ranks seventh in 3-pointers per game (2.5).
The Eagles face No. 18 Connecticut on Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Madison Square Garden. They will then take on either Indiana or Washington the following night.
