Men's Tennis Takes Part in West Point Shootout

The Boston College men's tennis team competed in its second event of the fall at the West Point Shootout in West Point, N.Y., on Oct. 5-6 against host Army, St. Bonaventure and Yale.
The Eagles fared best against Army in doubles action, compiling a 3-2 record and going 5-5 in singles play.
Against Yale, BC went 6-3 in singles play and 1-2 in doubles competition and tallied a 3-2 singles record and 3-2 doubles record against St. Bonaventure.
Team captain Jonathan Raude captured all three of his singles matches at the No. 2 spot. He defeated Army's Caison Best, 3-6, 6-2, and 10-3, Yale's Photos Photiades, 4-6, 6-4, and 10-7, and Eduardo Irizarry of St. Bonaventure, 6-4, 6-4.
Sophomore Kyle Childree came out victorious in two singles matches, defeating Daniel Faierman of Yale, 6-3, 6-2, and Trevor Haskell of St. Bonaventure, 6-2, 6-2.
Newcomer Aiden McNulty also prevailed in two singles victories against Army's Kyle Barnes, 6-4, 6-4, and Javier Ortiz of St. Bonaventure, 6-1, 6-0.
Boston College is back in action Oct. 17-21 as it competes in the ITA Regionals in New Haven, Conn.
