Anastos Named Rookie of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College freshman forward Andie Anastos has earned Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honors after scoring in each of the team's two games against St. Lawrence over the weekend, including a short-handed goal in the first game and the game-winning goal in the second game, as announced by the league on Monday.
The freshman from Farmington Hills, Mich. has scored a goal in each of her first three games as an Eagle, and added an assist in her first game for four points on the season.
This is the first time that an Eagle has garnered the award since Haley Skarupa won it on March 4, 2013, which marked her sixth such award of the year.
Boston College retained its No. 2 ranking in the national polls this week, and returns to action Wednesday at home when it faces off against UNH at 7 p.m.
