Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The #3 women's hockey team (13-3-2, 8-2-1 WHEA) look to continue their torrid pace as they pay a visit to the #9/10 Northeastern Huskies on Wednesday at Matthews Arena.
The Eagles enter the game fresh off a two-game sweep in North Country over #2 Clarkson and St. Lawrence. Haley Skarupa, Emily Field, Dru Burns, and Dana Trivigno each recorded two points in BC's 5-1 win over Clarkson on Thursday. Alex Carpenter's three points and Blake Bolden's overtime goal propelled the Eagles to a 4-3 win at St. Lawrence on Friday.
Senior goaltender Corinne Boyles extended her personal win streak to 11-games and recorded the 40th victory of her career last week. BC continued to extend their program best 14-game unbeaten and nine game winning streaks. The rankings of #3 in both the USCHO.com poll and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll are the highest in team history surpassing last season’s #4 final ranking.
The Huskies (11-6-2, 5-4-1 WHEA) enter the game coming off of a split in North Country, dropping a 6-0 decision to St. Lawrence before mounting a 4-3 comeback win against Clarkson on Friday. Paige Savage's three point third period helped the Huskies erase a 3-1 Clarkson lead, including her game-winning goal at 13:51 of the third period.
The Eagles are 2-0-0 this season against Northeastern after sweeping a home-and-home set with the Huskies back in November.
BC will return home this weekend with a conference tilt against Vermont on Saturday before hosting #4 Cornell on Sunday. Both games will face off at 2 p.m.
