Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Senior captain Blake Bolden garnered WHEA Defensive Player of the Week Honors for the second time this year while the team received WHEA Team of the Week honors for the fifth time in an announcement made by the Hockey East on Monday.
Bolden, the Stow, Ohio native, tallied the game-winning goal and an assist in the Eagles’ 4-3 overtime win over St. Lawrence on Friday. It was the sixth game-winning goal of Bolden’s career which puts her in an eighth place tie with teammate Taylor Wasylk for most career game-winning goals by a BC player.
The Eagles were also named WHEA Team of the Week for the fifth time this season as they continue to ride program best 14-game unbeaten and nine game winning streaks. BC has not lost since dropping a 3-2 decision to Minnesota-Duluth on October 25th.
The Eagles will have a full slate this week when they face off at Northeastern on Wednesday before returning home for games against Vermont (Saturday) and Cornell (Sunday).
