Boateng Named To Top Freshman List

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Freshman Derrick Boateng was ranked as the 17th-best freshman in the country in the annual TopDrawerSoccer.com Freshmen Top 100 list.

Boateng was also voted to the ACC All-Freshman Team.

The Worcester, Mass., product played in 17 matches and started 15 in his first season on campus. He was second on the team in goals (3) and points (9), and third in assists (3).

He had three goals and two assists in a four-match span from September 14-25. He notched an assist vs. Virginia Tech in a 1-1 draw and then scored the game-winning goal against San Francisco with just 11 seconds left in the second overtime. Boateng also had two goals and an assist against Rhode Island.
