York Resting Comfortably After Outpatient Eye Surgery

Boston College head men's hockey coach Jerry York underwent outpatient eye surgery to repair a detached retina this morning. He is resting comfortably at home. York is expected to miss both games against New Hampshire this weekend.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Jeffrey Heier at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston.
Associate head coaches Mike Cavanaugh and Greg Brown will lead the team in York's absence.
The second-ranked Eagles and fourth-ranked New Hampshire will square off in a home-and-home series beginning at Kelley Rink on Friday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. on NESN. The teams will conclude the two-game weekend series in Durham, N.H., the next night.
