Coed Sailing Finished Seventh

AUSTIN, TX - The BC coed team fell short of its quest for the National Championship on Friday, June 8 as the Eagles placed seventh in the final standings. Georgetown won the event with 137 points, followed by Roger Williams with 169 points. Boston College was seventh with 231 points.
The Eagles dug a deep hole on the first day of racing as they finished the day in 13th place. On Thursday, the teams chipped away at the lead but could only move up to eight place.
BC finished with week of sailing in Texas with a Women's National Championship, a fourth place finish in the team competition as well as the seventh place finish in the coed race.
Some of BC sailors were honored on Friday night at the championship banquet. Annie Haeger earned All-American status for the second time this week but this time on the ICSA COed All-America team.
Senior Laura McKenna and junior Patrick Hession were named to the ICSA Crew All-American team.
