Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College Volleyball Head Coach Chris Campbell announced the signing of Franny Hock, a defensive specialist/libero from Manhattan Beach, Calif., on Friday. Hock completes the Class of 2016 for the Eagles.
"Franny brings a great deal of high level experience with her to Boston College," Campbell said. "Her club teams have consistently been in the top group in Southern California and the nation, and her ball control will be a real asset to our program."
Hock led Marymount to back-to-back California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Division A championships in two seasons. As a senior, the Sailors went 20-1 on the year and captured the Southern Section State Championship, finishing as the CIF State runner-up. Hock also received Sunshine League honorable mentions.
The four-time CIF Scholar also competed for the Sunshine Volleyball Club, which received bids to the Junior Olympics from 2009-12. Hock also took third at the U18 AAU Beach Volleyball National Championship in 2011.
