The Cavaliers scored three-straight goals to pull within one, but Rix found the back of the net with less than a minute left in the half to send the Eagles to the locker room up, 6-4.
BC outscored UVA, 2-1, in the first five minutes of the second half to take an 8-5 advantage. The Cavaliers' Josie Owen scored on a free-position shot to spark a 5-0 Virginia run, giving the Cavs their first lead of the game, up 10-8 with 10:49 remaining.
