Boston College hockey fans call follow Saturday's NCAA Tournament game between the No. 1 seeded Eagles and Air Force on March 24 beginning at 3:45 p.m., via the cover it live blog. Fans can submit comments during the game via the blog as well.
Boston College earned the 2012 NCAA Tournament's No. 1 overall seed with a 29-10-1 record. It won its second straight Hockey East regular-season title with a 19-7-1 conference record and captured the 2012 Hockey East Tournament title - its third straight - after defeating Massachusetts twice (in a best-of-three game quarterfinal series), Providence in the semifinals and Maine in the championship game.
The 2012 tournament marks the 31st time the Eagles have earned an NCAA Tournament berth. It is the team's 13th berth in the last 15 years. BC ranks fourth all-time in NCAA appearances. BC has a 41-38 all-time record in the national tournament. Head coaches Snooks Kelley and Len Ceglarski both led BC to nine NCAA Tournament appearances, while Jerry York has led BC to 13 NCAA Tournaments in the last 15 seasons.
Saturday's game will be televised on ESPNU and ESPN3.com with Joe Beninati (play-by-play), Billy Jaffe (analyst) and Dan Parkhurst (reporter). An audio broadcast of Saturday's game will be streamed live through bceagles.com with Adam Kaufman (play-by-play) and Ken Hodge (anlayst) calling the action.
