CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College men's hockey fans can follow the Eagles - Northeastern Huskies first round Beanpot game at TD Garden on Monday, Feb. 6 beginning at 7:45 p.m., via the cover it live blog. Fans can submit comments during the game via the blog as well.
Monday's game will mark the 41st meeting between the Eagles and Huskies in Beanpot competition. Boston College is 31-9 against Northeastern the Beanpot. The Eagles are 29-8 against the Huskies in the first round of the Beanpot and 2-1 in three championship games (1980, 1983 and 2011).
Boston College is 69-49 in 118 Beanpot games during the tournament's 59-year history, including a 31-18 record in the first round. BC has won the Beanpot title 16 times, including two straight and three in the last four years - 2008, 2010 and 2011. The Eagles have finished second 15 times, third 22 times and fourth six times.
