Mullane Earns League Player of the Month Honors

Boston College men's hockey captain Pat Mullane has earned Hockey East Association Player of the Month honors for October after leading the league in scoring, the league announced on Thursday.
Mullane recorded eight points - three goals and five assists - in Boston College's 4-1-0 month. A native of Wallingford, Conn., Mullane tallied at least one point in all five games.
Among his highlights in the month of October was his three-point performances in the team's 5-4 come-from-behind win at Massachusetts on Oct. 19. Mullane's two goals late in the third period and notched primary assist on Johnny Gaudreau's overtime gamewinner against the River Hawks.
Mullane, who centers Gaudreau on the left wing and senior alternate captain Steven Whitney on the right wing, won 56.1 percent of his faceoff attempts (60-of-107) in five games. All three players have recorded at least one point in each game to date.
Boston College, which maintained its position as the nation's top-ranked college hockey club, is back in action at Maine on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
