Rugg Named ACC Co-Player of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior Charlie Rugg has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for his eight-point performance in two wins last week for Boston College.
Rugg was also named the TopDrawerSoccer.com national Player of the Week on Monday.
Rugg shares the ACC honor with Wake Forest's Luca Giminez, who recorded a hat trick with three goals in a 4-0 win over Virginia Tech.
The Roslindale, Mass., product scored three of the team's six goals in the two matches. He had two goals and an assist in a 4-2 win against Rhode Island then played a part in both goals in a 2-1 win vs. NC State - scoring one and assisting on the other.
Rugg played a part in five of the six BC goals in the two matches and scored his three on just six shots. He also tallied the game-winning goal in both contests. Rugg currently ranks third in the ACC in points (11), sixth in goals (4) and seventh in assists (3).
BC (5-3-1, 1-1-1 ACC) faces Harvard on Tuesday night in Cambridge at 7 p.m. then travels to Wake Forest for a Saturday matchup.
