New England Team Conference Racing Championship
For the fourth time in as many years, the Boston College sailing team won the New England Conference Team Racing Championship.
The BC team consisting of senior Taylor Canfield, senior Emily Migliaccio, junior Annie Haeger, senior Emily Massa, senior Tyler Sinks, senior Lucy Wallace and freshman Laura McKenna got off to a fast start on Saturday, winning each of their seven races and establishing a two race lead over the field.
The Eagles took two losses back to back early in the day on Sunday, but quickly rallied and went on to win their remaining races, including five races in a row in the final round robin.
The win qualifies the team for the ICSA Team Racing National Championships in Cascade Locks, OR on May 27-29.
