Tennis Topped By No. 41 Seminoles

Tallahassee, Fla. - The Boston College men's tennis team was downed, 7-0, against ITA 41st-ranked Florida State on Friday afternoon at Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
The Eagles (5-13, 0-7 ACC) forced two tiebreakers in singles action, but fell a pair of heartbreakers to the Seminoles (7-11, 2-5 ACC).
On No. 3 singles, senior Erik Kreutzer was edged by Connor Smith, 6-4, in the first set and came back with a dominating, 6-1, win in the second. The two foes battled back-and-forth in a 20-point third set, in which FSU was able to come out on top, 11-9.
Junior Akash Muppidi continued his tough run against some of the nation's top-ranked opponents in No. 24 Vahid Mirzadeh. After dropping a 6-4 decision in the first, the Trumball, Conn. native downed Mirzadeh, 6-3, in the second, before being outlasted, 10-5, in the tiebreaker on No. 1 singles.
Junior Alex Skinner was pitted against a ranked Seminole as well, falling in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, to No. 91 Clint Bowles on court two.
BC will wrap up its road trip to the Sunshine State with a match against No. 24 Miami on Sunday, April 10 at noon.
