Tennis Falls to No. 24 Miami

Coral Gables, Fla. - The Boston College men's tennis was defeated, 6-1, by the ITA No. 24 Miami on Sunday afternoon at Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
Junior Akash Muppidi provided the scoring for Boston College (5-15, 0-9 ACC), defeating Christian Blocker in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, at No. 1 singles.
Muppidi combined with sophomore Billy Grokenberger for a win at No. 1 doubles as well. The duo made quick work of Blocker and Carl Sundberg, 8-5, but Miami (14-5, 8-1) was able to take the contests on courts two and three for the doubles point.
The Hurricanes won five singles matches in straight sets to seal the win.
Boston College will face Holy Cross tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Worcester, Mass. The Eagles will conclude the ACC season with a home stand against Wake Forest and NC State from April 15-17.
