Roundball Club Hosts Men's Basketball Banquet

Junior guard Reggie Jackson earned team MVP honors and senior forward Joe Trapani captured the Frank Power Memorial Award, highlighting the program's year-end Roundball Club Banquet. The event was held in the Yawkey Center (Murray Room) on the Boston College campus.
The Frank Power Memorial Award is given annually in memory the longtime Boston College basketball coach to the player who exemplifies the dedication, loyalty, spirit and love for Boston College and its basketball program that was characteristic of Coach Power and his life.
Jackson earned 2010-11 All-ACC first-team honors. He also captured USBWA All-District I honors, NABC All-District 2 accolades and Associated Press All-America honorable mention honors. He averaged 18.1 points, 4.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game in 16 conference contests this past season.
Trapani captured All-ACC third-team accolades after averaging 14.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this past season. The Madison, Conn., resident started all 34 games in 2010-11.
In addition to Jackson and Trapani, three other individuals were recognized at the banquet. Senior John Cahill earned the program's Learning Resources/Academic Award; senior Biko Paris captured the Coaches' Award; and senior Tim McLaughlin earned the Mary Kay Waldron Managers' Award.
Boston College finished the 2010-11 season with a 21-13 mark, including a 9-7 record in Atlantic Coast Conference action. BC earned a bid to the National Invitation Tournament.
Jon Meterparel, the radio voice of the Eagles, served as the master of ceremonies. Among those presenting the awards were former Eagles John Silk '53 , Malcolm Huckaby '94 and Brad Christianson '97 .
Don Croatti '60 of the Boston College Varsity Club addressed the gathering and welcomed each of the team's seniors into the club.
Video coordinator Dan McDermott `04 entertained those in attendance with a spectacular team highlight video.
