Greensboro, N.C. - Boston College junior Akash Muppidi was selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Tennis Team for the second consecutive year as announced by the ACC on Thursday.
Muppidi is the only BC men's tennis player to earn the conference honor twice, having collected his first accolade a year ago.
The Eagle concluded the regular season on a four match winning streak, upsetting the 90th and 117th ranked players in the country. Muppidi faced eight opponents ranked in the ITA Top 30 and met five more nationally regarded foes.
The native of Trumball, Conn. competed every match he played as the Eagles' singles No.1 and did the same for all but two matches in doubles with sophomore Billy Grokenberger.
