Sailing Earns A First Place

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College sailing team captured the 2011 Women's Emily Wick & Sloop Shrew Trophies this past weekend under tough conditions on Saturday and Sunday.
The team raced on the Thames with a Southwesterly breeze on Sunday. The Eagles won the match with 120 points, as Brown placed second with 127 points. Stanford was third with 165 points, while Yale (168 points) and Tufts (192) finished the Top Five.
The Eagles placed first in the A Division behind the talents of Emily Maxwell and Elizabeth Dudley. The tandem totaled 60 points to beat second placed Stanford by 10 points.
In the B Division, Stephanie Hudson and Laura Ann Keller placed second with 60 points to first place Brown. Yale was third with 85 points.
