Stefanie Murphy Signs With The WNBA's Connecticut Sun

Chestnut Hill, MA - Senior forward Stefanie Murphy signed a training camp contract with the WNBA's Connecticut Sun announced on Sunday by the team.
Murphy will begin working out with the team in mid-May.
A native of Londonderry, N.H., Murphy leaves the Heights as the second all-time leading rebounder in program history, finishing with 937 boards. She ranks fourth all-time with 1,722 points. Murphy was the second-leading scorer and rebounder for the Eagles this past season, averaging 15.3 points and 7.9 boards per game.
Murphy had 12 double-doubles as a senior, 26 for her career, and she finished with 87 career double-figure scoring games. A team captain, Murphy was an All-ACC third team selection as a senior, adding to a collection of conference awards that also includes being named ACC Rookie of the Year following her freshman season.
The Connecticut Sun will open its ninth season at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, June 4th, hosting the Washington Mystics at 7 p.m.
