Eagles Fall to No. 9 Albany

Chestnut Hill, MA- The No.17/19 Boston College women's lacrosse team fell to No. 9/11 Albany on Wednesday, 11-10. The Great Danes remain undefeated, while BC drops to 7-4 on the season, 0-3 in the ACC.
Junior Brittany Wilton led all scorers for BC, with four goals. Brook Blue and Hannah Alley each had two goals for the Eagles and Jill Amo chipped in with two assists.
After BC tied the game at one, early in the first half, Albany went on a 3-0 run, but the Eagles responded with four straight goals. The closing thirty seconds of the half saw two quick goals. Albany's Kathleen Lennon tied the game at five with 28 seconds to play. Boston College's Brittany Wilton responded with her third goal of the half with five seconds remaining, giving BC a one point advantage at the half.
With 15:59 remaining in the game, Albany tied the game at seven before BC rattled off three goals to take a 10-7 lead. Albany was able to answer, scoring four straight goals in the final 6:30 of the game to capture the one point victory.
Boston College looks to get back on track Saturday when they host ACC opponent Virginia at 12:00 p.m.
