Raleigh, N.C. - Senior Michael Keebler ran a 14:27.63, shattering his meter personal record by 30 seconds, to take fifth place in section two of the 5,000 meter contest at the Raleigh Relays on Friday afternoon.
Joining the BC captain, sophomore Jordan Hamm ran a 14:43.84 in his first outdoor 5K and graduate Brian Hughes lowered his PR by 15 seconds to 14:56.70.
In the field, senior Mathew Kosmas charted a personal record throw of 45.46 meters is the discus to finish 15th in the field of 61.
Freshman Kellen MacDonald led BC in the 400 meter run, finishing in 50.34. Senior Tyler Archer came in at 50.83 for a new personal best in the quarter mile.
The 1600-meter sprint medley finished in 3:31.81, fourth fastest in BC history, for 10th place. Freshmen Joseph Stuart, Jack Hennessy and MacDonald handled the first three legs, before passing the baton to sophomore Kyle Nelson for the half-mile leg.
The 4x1500-meter relay took ninth. Sophomores Jack Linehan and Nahed Lakkis paired with freshmen Anthony Bellitti and Joseph McConaughy to run a 16.19.27
Note: Assistant Coach Tim Ritchie was the men's 5,000 meter run overall winner in 13:53.55.
