Dedham, Mass. - The Boston College women's track and field team captured six event titles at the Northeastern Husky Spring Open on Saturday.
Winning events for the Eagles were freshman Margaret O'Dea, junior Casey Hsiung, senior Siobhan Breagy, freshman Morgan Mueller, sophomore Taylor Aizenstadt and the 4x100-meter relay contingent.
Aizenstadt topped teammate, junior Georgette Asfoura in the high jump. Both cleared 1.57 meters (5-1.75 ft.), but the sophomore took the title on attempts.
Following a win in the 4x100-meter relay in 50.13, O'Dea captured the open 100 meter dash with times of 12.92.
Hsiung doubled up with a win the 200 meter dash in a personal record of 26.13.
BC freshmen Mueller and Jacqueline Pollack led the field in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with times of 11:42.06 and 11:54.06, respectively.
Breagy led a large 1500 meter contingent in 4:40.66, as the Eagles took the top four spots, as well as sixth, eighth, ninth and 10th.
Sophomore Erin McKenna was second in 4:41.99, followed by graduate Samantha Gawrych (4:43.36) and junior Bridget Dahlberg (4:44.02).
Sophomore Alison Stasiuk placed sixth at 4:45.31, with junior Heather Garcia (4:49.89), grad Jessica Driscoll (4:51.25) and third-year Elizabeth McGuirk (5:52.12) rounding out the top 10.
The Eagles also ran well together in the half mile contest, taking second, third and fourth. Junior Anna Cioffredi finished first for BC in 2:22.17, followed by sophomore Grace Rodriguez (2:24.03) and classmate Sara Missert (2:24.07).
With a time of 18:10.31, sophomore Sarah Lord was the runner-up in the 5,000 meter, while freshman Alanna Poretta took fifth.
Sophomore Moira Kenny took third in the 10K, crossing in 39:19.44.
Freshman Claire Bingham was third to the line at 16.67 in the 110-meter hurdles competition.
Sophomore Margaret Stapleton-Smith's best throw of the hammer was 31.47 meters (103-3.0 ft.).
The Eagles will compete at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. from March 25-26.
