Football Holds Annual Pro Day; 17 NFL Teams Represented

Representatives from 17 National Football League teams came to Boston College Wednesday for the school's annual NFL Pro Day. Thirty-nine athletes representing BC and 16 other colleges and universities participated in the day-long series of testing, timing and agility drills.
Most of the throng of media were on hand to speak with BC offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo, who is expected to be a first-round selection, and linebacker Mark Herzlich, whose story of overcoming cancer has become well known over the course of the past two years. "After seeing 32 team doctors and a bunch of other physicians, I feel great," Herzlich told the media.
In addition to Castonzo and Herzlich, Boston College was represented by defensive lineman Alex Albright, offensive lineman Thomas Claiborne, defensive back DeLeon Gause, offensive lineman Rich Lapham, fullback James McCluskey, tight end Jordon McMichael and defensive lineman Damik Scafe. Athletes from American International College, Assumption College, Bentley University, Curry College, Fitchburg State University, Framingham State University, Harvard University, College of the Holy Cross, Marist College, Merrimack College, University of New Hampshire, Stonehill College, University of Massachusetts, Union College (KY), Vanderbilt University and Worcester State University were also tested.
NFL teams represented at the event included the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
