Husky Spring Open Results

Boston - Senior field athletes Mathew Kosmas and Justin Vereen set personal records in the hammer throw at the Northeastern Husky Spring Open on Saturday.

Kosmas placed third with a distance of 53.53 meters (175-7.0 ft.), topping his previous best by over four feet.

Vereen turned in a toss of 43.63 meters (143-2.0 ft.) for ninth place, crushing his old record by six meters.

The BC men’s track and field team will resume competition at two meets over March 25-26. Split groups will travel to the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. and the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif.
