DROP THE PUCK: Boston College will face Northeastern in the semifinals of the 27th Hockey East Tournament on Friday, March 18 at 5 p.m. in TD Garden ... The Eagles and Huskies are facing off in TD Garden for the second time winter. BC defeated Northeastern 7-6 in overtime to capture the 57th Beanpot title on Feb. 14. The teams are meeting for the fifth time this season and for just the seventh time in league postseason play.

LEAGUE LEADERS: Boston College won its record 11th league regular-season title after finishing its conference schedule with a 20-6-1 record. The title marks the program's fifth Hockey East regular-season championship under Jerry York. BC captured four regular-season titles in five years from 2000-01 to 2004-05 ... John Muse finished the Hockey East schedule with a league-low 1.84 goals against average, a league-high .933 save percentage and a league-best 80-percent win percentage (18-4-1). Cam Atkinson finished with a league-high 24 goals in 27 conference games. Brian Gibbons finished with a league-high 26 assists and Brian Dumoulin led all league defensemen with 23 points.
BC IN THE HOCKEY EAST TOURNAMENT: Boston College has won a record nine tournament titles and is 53-23-2 in Hockey East postseason play in 27 league championships ... The Eagles captured the 1987 and 1990 Hockey East Tournament titles under head coach Len Ceglarski and have won seven league tournament championships under Jerry York - 1998, 1999, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2010.

The Eagles opened the season with a 2-0 win inside Matthews Arena on Oct. 9 and went 1-1-1 in three games in mid February. March 12, 2011: Boston College 4, Massachusetts 2 (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) - Junior Jimmy Hayes recorded a hat trick, including the only two goals of the third period, to lift No. 2 Boston College to a 4-2 win over Massachusetts that completed the Eagles' two-game sweep of the Hockey East quarterfinal-round series. BC defeated the Minutemen, 4-1, on March 11. The victory marked the 100th career win for BC's three-member senior class. Senior John Muse earned his 25th win of the season, making 18 saves. He is now tied with Greg Taylor (1993-97) as the school's career saves leader with 3,605 saves.
