Hayes Earns Conference Co-Player Of The Week Recognition

Boston College junior Jimmy Hayes, who scored four goals in two victories over Massachusetts in the quarterfinals of the league tournament, has earned Hockey East Co-Player of the Week honors with Merrimack's Ryan Flanigan, according a league announcement made on Monday.

Hayes, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound forward, scored Boston College's first goal in the team's 4-1 win over the Minutemen on Friday then notched his second career hat trick in BC's 4-2 series-clinching win on Saturday.

The Dorchester, Mass., resident has scored 30 points - 20 goals and 10 assists - in 36 games.

Boston College, the league tournament's top seed, will face Northeastern on Friday, March 18 at 5 p.m. in Boston's TD Garden.
