The seventh-ranked Boston College Eagles will face off against the 10th-ranked Harvard Crimson in the championship game of the 33rd Annual Women's Beanpot on Tuesday, February 15 at 8:00 p.m. BC is hosting this year's Beanpot tournament. Harvard leads the all-time series, 23-5-0.
LAST TIME vs. HARVARD (December 5, 2010)
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Kelli Stack scored her third hat trick of the season and Mary Restuccia, Melissa Bizzari, and Ashley Motherwell each tallied one to give Boston College a 6-2 win over Harvard at Kelley Rink on Sunday, December 5.
BC opened up scoring at 7:51 in the first period as Danielle Welch passed to Jessica Martino, who set up Kelli Stack to skate up the left wing and punch in a goal as she crossed in front of the net.
Harvard evened the score at 16:09 with a goal from Kate Buesser but Stack answered back at 5:30 in the second frame to give BC a 2-1 lead. She was assisted again by Welch in addition to Melissa Bizzari.
Mary Restuccia added another goal for the Eagles at 8:45 to up the score to 3-1. Then at 12:44, Stack tallied her third goal of the afternoon with assists from Katelyn Kurth and Bizzari.
Bizzari scored a goal of her own to start the third period, with assists from Stack and Welch. The Crimson attempted a comeback with a goal at 4:38 but Ashley Motherwell's 6:58 goal, with assists from Meagan Mangene and Taylor Wasylk, secured a solid win for the Eagles.
Molly Schaus made 25 saves, including 13 in the final frame for her 11th win this season.
EAGLES ADVANCE TO BEANPOT CHAMPIONSHIP
Two combination goals between Kelli Stack and Mary Restuccia gave the Boston College women's hockey team the edge to hold on to a 2-1 win over No. 3 Boston University to advance to the 33rd Annual Women's Beanpot Championship game.
With three seconds remaining in the opening frame, Kelli Stack fed a pass to Mary Restuccia at the top of the crease, who slipped the goal in between BU goaltender Kerrin Sperry's pads.
Defense held it together for the Eagles in the second period, with several key saves from goaltender Molly Schaus who faced 10 hard shots from the Terriers, including a one-on-one against Louise Warren in the 12th minute and two hard slapshots in the last two minutes of the period.
Stack netted the game-winning goal at 5:36 of the final frame, feeding off a pass from Restuccia in front of the goal to send it home. BU retaliated with its first score of the game at 6:13 but the Eagles were able to hold onto the lead.
BC IN THE 2010 BEANPOT RECAP
The Eagles lost the first round game to Harvard 5-0 in the 2010 Beanpot. The two teams battled evenly with one another through the first two periods until the 18:26 mark of the middle frame when Harvard's Liza Ryabkina snuck a power-play goal by Boyles. Harvard notched another four tallies to finish the game 5-0.
Boston College and Boston University skated to a 1-1 tie in the consolation game. The Eagles struck first as Allie Thunstrom netted the puck at 2:01 of the opening frame. BC goalie Kiera Kingston turned away 24 shots before BU's Kasey Boucher slipped the puck past her with seven minutes remaining in the game. Kingston stopped two shots in the overtime period to hold onto a tie.

With a goal and an assist in the opening round of the Beanpot, Kelli Stack became BC's all-time Career Points record holder with 199 points since 2006.
