Kristie Mewis Earns NSCAA All-America Honors

Chestnut Hill, MA - Boston College midfielder Kristen Mewis was named to the 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Women's Division I All-America third team as announced on Dec. 9.
Mewis was recently named to the NSCAA Southeast Regional first team on Dec. 7. Last season Mewis made the first team on both the Division 1 All-America team as well as regional team.
The Eagles junior, who is currently training with the US National team in California until Jan. 21, led the Eagles in scoring this past season with eight goals and six assists for 22 points. A native of Hanson, MA, Mewis was a Hermann Trophy Preseason Watch List selection at the start of the season and an All-ACC first team selection. Mewis is now 12th on the all-time goal scored list (23 goals) and fourth on the assists list (26).
