Chestnut Hill, Mass. –The Boston College women’s ice hockey team improved two spots to No. 4/4 in the USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls this week.
The top three schools in each poll were unchanged, with Wisconsin remaining a No. 1 for the seventh straight week. Cornell (2), Minnesota (3) and Boston College make up the top four.
The USCHO positioned Boston University at No. 5, while the USA Today put Minnesota-Duluth in the five slot. No. 7 North Dakota and No. 10 Harvard held firm in both polls, while No. 8/9 Northeastern and No. 9/8 Mercyhurst traded places in the USCHO, but remained still on the USA Today survey.
This past week, BC (6-3-1, 3-2-1 Hockey East) split a home-and-home series with rival Boston University (5-1-1, 1-1-0 Hockey East). Both teams lost on home ice, with the Terriers topping the Eagles, 4-1, on Wednesday, before BC defeated BU, 3-1, on Saturday.
The Eagles are off this week, but resume league play at No. 8/9 Northeastern on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. Fans are invited to watch, listen and/or keep up with live stats.
