BC Fencing took home five medals at the annual Fall Invitational at Smith College on Saturday, including a silver and three bronze medals.
Freshman Ryan Prince finished second of 68 competitors in the men's foil event while sophomore Patrick Riley placed third. BC also took third in men's sabre (senior Peter Souders) and women's sabre (senior Chelsea Rosenbauer) as well as a fifth place finish in men's epee by sophomore Kendall Harmeyer.
"We had some very nice results across the board," head coach Syd Fadner said. "All of our sabre and epee fencers on the women's team made at least the round of 32, and our foilists showed real grit and competitive drive. And the men's team placed 11 of 15 in the 32."
The annual Fall Invitational continues to grow, this year featuring over five hundred fencers from across the Northeast, a twenty five percent increase in entries over last year.
