
BC Fencing Competes at NCAA Northeast Regionals

BC Fencing sent 17 fencers to the NCAA Northeast Regionals at BC's Flynn Recreation Complex on Sunday, and two fencers -- Chelsea Rosenbauer and Peter Souders -- qualified for the NCAA National Championships based on preliminary selections.
Rosenbauer, a senior from Harding, N.J., placed fifth in women's sabre and with the preliminary selections was the seventh qualifier. Souders, a senior from Silver Spring, Md., finished 11th in men's sabre and is looking to compete at the NCAA National Championships for the fourth consecutive season. The NCAA Championships take place from March 22-25 in Columbus, Ohio.
Other Eagles who finished in the top-20 of their respective weapons included -- Ryan Prince (15th) and Patrick Riley (18th) in men's foil, Ryan Western (19th) in women's foil, Cara Hall (16th) in women's epee, and Maria Schneeweiss (9th) and Olivia Curry (20th) in women's sabre.
