NBC Sports Network Launches College Hockey Coverage

The Hockey East Association and the NBC Sports Network have announced a multi-year deal to broadcast Hockey East games live, including Boston College's Feb. 10 game at Vermont as well as the 2012 Hockey East Tournament at TD Garden, the organizations announced on Wednesday.

NBC will also broadcast a Hockey East quarterfinal game on Friday, March 9. It will continue its Hockey East Tournament the following weekend, broadcasting both league semifinal contests on Friday, March 16 and the league tournament championship on Saturday, March 17 at 8 p.m.

The games are part of a 16-game college hockey schedule slated to start on VERSUS, which will be rebranded as the NBC Sports Network on Jan. 2. This season's schedule, which marks the first time that the NBC Sports Group will air college hockey games, was developed through partnerships with numerous collegiate hockey conferences and universities.
