Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College women's ice hockey forward Taylor Wasylk was named an Athletic Republic Hockey East Co-Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday. The sophomore shared the honor with Casey Pickett of Northeastern.
Wasylk led the Eagles with three points in a 5-0 win over New Hampshire on Saturday. The native of Port Huron, Mich., registered a power play goal two minutes into the second period for her first score of the season. Although the goal proved to be the game-winner, Wasylk assisted two more scoring plays to help give Boston College its largest margin of victory over the Wildcats in program history.
The trio of points was the most for Wasylk since putting up four at Syracuse on Oct. 9, 2010. The win extended the Eagles' unbeaten streak against New Hampshire to five games.
Boston College will resume competition when Quinnipiac comes to Kelley Rink on Friday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m.
