CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 14 Boston College men's soccer team makes the short trip down Commonwealth Avenue Tuesday night to face local rival Boston University at Nickerson Field at 7 p.m.
The Eagles (9-4-0) are 10-1-1 against the Terriers (7-6-0) since 1999 with the lone loss coming in 2006 in double overtime. BC has won the last five meetings at Nickerson Field.
Boston College has won four of its last six contests but is coming off of a 2-0 setback at Clemson Friday night. The Terriers are winners of five of their last six, including a pair of 1-0 America East victories last week against Vermont and Stony Brook.
In last season's 4-0 BC triumph against BU, four different Eagles scored goals including Conor Fitzpatrick and Charlie Rugg. Boston College jumped out to a 4-0 first-half lead and defeated Boston University by that score before a capacity crowd at the Newton Campus Field.
Tuesday night's game can be heard on ZBC Sports 90.3 FM.
